or RHIA preferred, but not required. Experience in ICD-9-CM coding
required. Must have knowledge of CPT-4 coding. High numerical, form
perception, clerical perception, motor coordination, manual dexterity,
and color discrimination are essential.
The employee shall accurately code and abstract all day surgery,
outpatient procedure charts, 23 -hour observation charts, Emergency Room
charts and inpatient charts in a consistent and timely manner.
