Qualifications:	Minimum one year experience in a health care field or medical setting OR at least six months coding coursework. Basic knowledge of clinical documentation, proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and effective human relations and communication skills are also required. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology a plus. PREFERENCES AHIMA or AACP recognized medical coding certification.
